Happy & Blessed Thanksgiving

I would like for you all to receive many blessings on this day of Thanksgiving. It’s a day to be thankful for our Lord and God for his love, his Word and His Son Jesus Christ, the One who died for you and me! It’s a day to be thankful for the food on our table, the homes we own or live in, the family and the friends we have to laugh and cry with, for the jobs or business' we have and own. It’s a day to say thank you for the cars we drive to work in, go shopping, go visiting in, a day for sharing a dinner with our friends and family.

Yes there are troubled times today, but look at the good we still have in this country, we still have our freedom to choose, to laugh, to cry, to sing, to dance, to play and more, now that is something to be thankful about. Yes we lost loved ones (for me my sister this year) who I miss very much, but I do know she is in a state of joy sitting at the knees of Jesus, there were loss of homes, lands, cars, lives and so much more, but we are still thankful that we have life and more!

I pray that you all will have a blessed and beautiful Thanksgiving and that God pours down His Mercy, Love, Peace and Joy upon you! Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to you all from me to you!

Where Did July Go!

I cannot believe how fast this summer is going. It seemed only yesterday that it was May. Where does the time fly? I have so much to do and not enough time to do it in.
I would like to say that the past months were fun and exciting, but alas not so for me. It was work and more work for me.

My hubby got to spend a week with the grandaughter who came for a visit. They went everywhere while I slaved at work, jealous? yes I was! He was a happy camper and would have liked more time with her before she grows up. Today they grow too fast.
Soon I will be listing new items for Fall, though I should have been doing it already. I have some nice vintage clothing in my Ruby Plaza store. More to come.

I opened up a Ruby Lane store also with an eclectic mix of vintage collectibles.

Check out my two new stores. New items will be listed weekly!

Happy Mother's Day

I want to wish all you moms out there a very blessed and special day today. I truely believe we have earned this special day since we do just about everything for the family. Of course we are little controllers and have to ruile the roost :0).

But in all reality we are the glue that adheres the family together. We go to work, we cook, we clean, we wash clothes, we tend to our children, we go to the stores, we pay the bills, we take the kids everywhere, we do it! Yes we complain at times but we still do it!

Today is a day to rest, relax and let the others in your family do it! Let them serve you with love and friendship. Be the Queen for the day and enjoy it for the day will be over soon and its back to the 24/7 work hours for the mom.
Happy Mother's Day

The Weather of 2011

Well so far this year we have had snow and ice most every day, not so much the ice but snow which adds to the ice and makes more ice :0). I am so done with this weather that if it don't warm up soon and melt this white stuff turning black I am about to let loose with a scream. Of course you can't hear it, but rest assured it will happen.

I am waiting for the sun to shine everyday, well at least 80 days cause here in PA that's about how many days the sun shines where I live. I love to feel the warmth of the sun on my face as it makes me smile, gives me more joy and peace. I hate the dark especially in the winter time as it gets dark about 4:30 pm here and stays dark till about 7 am. Yes it is now staying a little lighter in the evening and getting a little lighter in the morning, hooray!

I can't wait to see the blossoms, buds and green again as the color brown is depressing, of course I know that it brings the bees and other bugs which I detest, Thought about getting a beekeepers suit since I have more hornets than I know what to do with. They are always looking to make their home at my front door, why don't they stick to the trees and other places bees usually go to? No, they have to come and live right near my entrance so I can do the bee hop :)

Well I just thought I would share what I was thinking of , that its getting closer to warm weather and no more shoveling snow and chopping ice, soon my car will be clean again!
This is the hubby trying to keep warm in our house!

Happy New Year Everyone

Just stopping by to wish blessings over you and your families in this coming New Year. May you be in health, prosper and glow, yes glow! Be cheerful, look at the good things in life, stop looking at the downfalls and pick yourselves up and go on. Life is short and no one can say they will be here tomorrow. Love one another and do well to each other, learn to share and reap only the good, cause who wants to reap all the bad.

It was a good year meeting you all and am looking forward to visiting some of you, going to more flea markets, garage sales, auctions and estate sales. I am hoping to bring you the best buys in this coming New Year. It is a new beginning again as I hope to make the best of it.
Happy New Year ya'll
Barbara
